Determined to finish 1999 on a high, by posting the highest truck sales volume since 1995, Daihatsu dealers are preparing to yield on the pricing of the entire truck range.

The Delta truck, renowned for its exceptional reliability and performance, is made up of a variety of different models including dual cab utilities, tippers and 3.0 tonne single cabs.

For many years the Delta has been a favoured tool of many small business operators and professional tradespeople, thanks to its reputation for tireless performance, proven efficiency, reliability and durability.

The range is powered by either a 2.8 or 3.7 litre diesel engine, depending on the model, both of which are strong, reliable and efficient.

The 2.8 litre DL engine, which is used in the V57 models, produces 56 kW @ 3,800 rpm and 170 Nm @ 2,200 rpm, while the 14B engine found in all the other Delta models produces 70 Kw @ 3,400 rpm and 240 Nm @ 2,000 rpm.

The recent increase in Delta truck sales has been partly attributed to the facelift, which has been on sale in Australia over the past two months. The changes undertaken in the facelift Delta included a remodeled front end and instrument cluster panel, new dash as well as an upgrade in trim and audio equipment.
