Bright takes pole position in Adelaide

TEAM BROCK driver Jason Bright has won the first Monroe Pole Position Award of the V8 Supercar season by clocking the fastest time in the Top Ten Shoot-out for tomorrow’s Clipsal 500 race around the streets of Adelaide.

Bright posted a time of 1.23.2729 and will start tomorrow’s race ahead of Mark Skaife and Marcus Ambrose.

For his efforts, Bright was presented with a $5000 cheque from Monroe by Phil Mason, director of Aftermarket Sales & Marketing for Tenneco Automotive, the manufacturers of Monroe shock absorbers.

“As market leaders in the shock absorber market in Australia, we are well aware of the effort and commitment it takes to stay in front of your peers,” said Phil, seen presenting Bright with the cheque.

“That’s why we are proud to sponsor the Monroe Pole Position Award, taking our association with the V8 Supercars Championship into its fourth year.”

The Monroe Pole Position Award will be presented to the fastest qualifier at each round of the V8 Championship.

At the end of the season, the Monroe Pole Position Award Trophy will be awarded at the to the driver who achieves the highest number of pole positions during the series.
