Hi again fellas...I have a cpl of quads i would like to know if they were off a blue 253 or red/blue 308.

I guess the diff would be the jetting, but would the ID numbers tell me? I have done a search but to no avail on how to tell one from the other externally.

Thnx...Griff

The secondary vacuum pull offs are the easiest way to differentiate an early red pollution from a blue motor one.
Blue motor should have two metal encased diaphrams, red pollution type have a plastic or resin type very noticeable.
Non pollution red motors used a "divorced choke" the coil heater was not attached to the carby directly it screws into the manifold so they are pretty obvious too.

Put up the numbers (or PM to me) off them and i'll tell you what they were off. If you don't have what you want I may be able to swap you.
