i have a hj gts 308 t400 im after some info (help) as i dont drive the car a great deal when i first start it up i usually let it warm up for 5 min then take of my question is when i start driving i get a sound from gearbox that sounds very similar to a supercharger now this doesnt last long maybe 1/2 a klm if that and doesnt come back for the duration of drive its only on initial take of the gearbox shifts well no slip etc fluids are at correct level and doesnt look burnt or smell burnt proir to me getting the car 5 years ago the gearbox was rebuilt to me it sounds like the convertor is draining itself of the oil when its sitting in the garage any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated

Is it in all gears? I've got a T400 that does a similar noise but it's all the time and in 1st gear only.

I have a T400 that makes that "supercharger" sound for about the first 40 seconds or so when the car has been sitting for a day or two. I suspect its the "O" Ring on the tube that feeds fluid up from the filter. Must get around to looking into one day.

that supercharger whining is the oil pump...2 ways around it,pull the box out and get it fixed or ignore it and wait till it fails and get it fixed both will be full recoes anyway..i had one that whined for around 3 years as a daily driver before it failed..i just serviced it every 5000k and didnt flog it..my motto is dont screw with it if it aint broke...
