Hi there.
I tried the white lithium grease last time I had the door locks apart. Now I think that this is why the lock has bound up on one door.

What is the best form of lube for these locks?

The lock may be wearing out. The pins and other components may be so worn that they cannot align properly to let you unlock the door. Lubing helps but the lock may be over 40 years old. Just a thought.
