Was it in VZ first Warren, or in VY vehicles that continued into VZ? Or did WL come before VZ?

I don't know how I missed this earlier, but anyhow here's my version.

To my knowledge the first locally built cars with a 'drive by wire' electronic throttle control were BA Fords (Falcon, Fairmont, Fairlane, LTD etc.), released in Oct-02.

The first locally made Holdens to have it were the VZ series, released in Aug-04.

The first Holden to have it, albeit an import, was the XC Barina in Apr-01

The first Vectra to have it was the ZC in Mar-03, not the earlier JR/JS series, these had a throttle cable.

The second Holden to have it was the TS Astra, with the Z18XE engine released in Sept-01.

Dr Terry
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
