Hard to see for certain in the photos but the breather looks like its sitting up like a big tank and at first glance I thought it was. All the car's numbers like up too as a 327.

...it's got the deep section brake booster and LSD decal up the RH door jamb....did they have the word "Monaro" in the door trims, and I thought the "GTS" up high in the middle of the back seat ?....all up looks pretty correct (although the fuel tank just doesn't look like it consumes enough of the boot ??)

The issue I have with it is the right hand tank cover, or "Floor mat support" in GM-H speak.
The 25 gallon tank cover is the same profile as the 16 gallon cover, with extensions spot welded onto the sides. This arrangement is common, as are the part numbers, for HK, HT and HG models fitted with the 25 gallon tank.

The flange on the side of the top cover is 95mm above the rear "chassis rail" with the 25 gallon tank and the correct cover.

As best I can see in the photograph the cover flange is resting on that rail, therefore the extensions are not fitted to the cover, and it's only a 16 gallon tank.

The top of the tank should also be level with the point where the inner buttress meets the inner wheelhouse, and it seems to fall well short of that height.

In addition, there should be an extension bracket on the rail to support the 6" wheels that were standard on the HK327, and that seems to be missing. Perhaps some HKs were like that, but my understanding is that it should be there.

If, as Byron said earlier, someone has viewed the car and verified the numbers, and if the 81837 on the tags match those numbers, then I'm interpreting the photo incorrectly.
If I'm right, then someone is offering a lot of money for, at best, a modified or rebirthed 307 car.

P.S. Since we try to be correct here, no matter if it's a 186S, 307 or 327 HK Monaro, it isn't a "Bathurst" Monaro. There is no such thing.

The covers might not be on the tank, or it might be one of those special NZ export GTS327's with a small tank? You can fit a whole extra Ewe in there with the smaller tank.....

It does appear to be missing the second of the bigger wheel/tyre brackets, but it could also have been removed which is more likely than only one of the brackets being there.

The info I was given by the person who looked was it all appears to be the real deal, and they know what they are looking at supposedly.

So that's why the NZ model; an extra ewe in the boot. I thought it was for a 44 gallon drum of sheep dip.
Or was that the P76 Export model?

The seller said it had long range tank so I guess he wouldn't have answered that without finding out for sure.
NZ probably has more Monaros per head of population than Aussie-what a paradise!

It'd only have GST if it was sold new in NZ. If it went over as a used car there is no GST when it comes back from what I understand as taxes were paid on it here originally.
