Does anyone know of a website or who to contact to check if an engine is stolen or not (using the engine number) before purchase. Ive bought a few engine parts in Queensland and interstate in the past and this has always been in the back of my mind. Wouldn't mind checking things out in the future if I can.

Ring your local Motor Transport office (or REVS).

I think REVS are in the phone book or there should at least be a link to them on the Motor transport website.

I did this a while back and they were extremely helpful.
