New bullbar gives Prado added `urban chic’

While the bullbar debate rages around Australia, with `nannies’ who have never driven outside the city limits wringing their hands over how dangerous they might be to pedestrians, Toyota has released a new bullbar for LandCruiser Prado – one it says is designed primarily for "style conscious city-dwellers".

Prado Estate Bar.jpg (13446 bytes)The new Estate Bar’s contoured styling is designed to enhance the Prado’s appearance and provide panel protection. It neatly integrates the large fog lamps now fitted as standard on some Prado models.

Toyota’s T-CAM (Toyota Conversions, Accessories and Motorsport) department has used the very latest in bullbar technology to help purpose-design the Estate Bar for the Prado.

Featuring a large single piece of contoured alloy extrusion for high strength and light weight, the Estate Bar is designed to avoid interfering with Prado’s carefully engineered crumple zones, which absorb energy to protect occupants in the event of a crash.

The bar also features integrated additional indicator and parking lights for excellent visibility and safety.

Rugged overriders displaying the Toyota logo add further style and protection.

The Estate Bar is the second Toyota Genuine bullbar for Prado, following the successful release of the Cruiser Bar.

Toyota Australia’s Tony Bottacin said that while the Cruiser Bar offered chiselled looks for the country, the new Estate Bar provided a more stylised look for the city-based four wheel drive enthusiast.

All Toyota Genuine Accessories are covered by Toyota’s three year/100,000 kilometres accessory warranty when ftted at the time of purchase of a new vehicle.

The Estate bar certainly looks the goods – just don’t tell your nanny about it!
